Sul confine con la Svizzera, tra Lugano e Porlezza, s'affaccia sul lago Ceresio la bella val Solda. Terra d'origine della madre di Antonio Fogazzaro, fu scelta dallo scrittore per ambientare il suo capolavoro "Piccolo mondo antico".
In quest'angolo della provincia di Como, a picco sopra orti e ulivi s'alzano, inaspettate, imponenti cime di dolomia: dal monte dei Pizzoni, al monte Bronzone, al Sas di Mont, al Torrione.

On the border with Switzerland, between Lugano and Porlezza, the beautiful Valsolda overlooks Lake Ceresio. In this corner of the province of Como, overlooking a handful of scattered villages, imposing dolomite peaks rise unexpectedly: from Monte dei Pizzoni, to Monte Bronzone, to Sas di Mont, to Torrione.
